MyCommunity Today, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“MyCommunity Today”, “we”, “us”), operates the MyCommunity Today platform at gomycommunity.com and gomyct.com, our mobile apps, and related services (together, “MyCommunity”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to members, businesses and their staff, webinar hosts and attendees, shoppers, referrers and website visitors. This policy also covers DealChief, the AI chat, voice and avatar module built into MyCommunity, including AI agents that represent businesses. If you use the standalone DealChief app or dealchief.ai, the DealChief Privacy Policy at https://about.dealchief.ai/privacy-policy/ applies and describes the same practices.

Microphone and camera. We use them only while you are in a call, webinar, voice conversation or camera feature and have turned them on. AR try-on images are processed on the fly and not stored.

Information others give us. Other members may mention or tag you, invite you to a meeting or webinar, or refer you. Businesses may give us details of orders you placed with them.

2. How we use information

  • Provide MyCommunity: run your account, feed, communities, messaging, calls, webinars, shopping, business pages and AI agents; deliver reminders and recordings.
  • Personalize: show posts, communities, businesses, local news, events and products relevant to your location, interests and activity. You can see a non-personalized feed in Settings.
  • Process orders, payments and payouts: pass orders to sellers, charge payments, issue refunds, calculate referral commissions and host earnings, send payouts, and meet tax duties.
  • Show ads and sponsored content (see Section 3).
  • Keep MyCommunity safe: verify identity before payouts, moderate content, prevent fraud, spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • Communicate with you: sign-in codes, order and registration confirmations, reminders, security alerts and changes to our terms, by email, push notification or SMS; and, with your permission where required, news and offers, which you can turn off at any time.
  • Improve MyCommunity: understand how features are used, fix bugs and measure performance, using de-identified or aggregated data where possible.
  • Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

3. Ads and sponsored content

Businesses can pay to promote posts, products, webinars and offers on MyCommunity. We choose which promotions to show you using your community, approximate location, interests and activity on MyCommunity. We do not use information from other companies’ apps or websites to target you, and we do not give advertisers your name or contact details. Promoted content is labeled as sponsored.

4. AI features and third-party AI

AI agents on MyCommunity, including DealChief agents, reply using models hosted on Amazon Bedrock by Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Nova (speech) and Anthropic Claude (text). When you talk or chat with an agent, we send your message or voice audio, relevant business information and recent conversation context to these models.

  • We ask your permission before your data is first sent to these AI services, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Privacy → AI Processing.
  • Under AWS’s terms, Amazon Bedrock does not use your inputs or outputs to train its models or share them with model providers. We do not use them to train AI models either.
  • We use automated tools, including Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch, to screen uploaded images, and may use AI to help summarize local news.
  • We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
  • AI replies can be wrong. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions.

5. How we share information

Publicly and with other members:

  • Your public profile, posts, comments, videos, reviews and community memberships can be seen by anyone and may appear in search engines. You control some of this in Settings.
  • Participants in a call, meeting or webinar can see your name, photo, video, audio, chat messages and public poll or Q&A responses.

With businesses, hosts and referrers, as the service requires:

  • Sellers you buy from receive your name, contact details, shipping address and order details. They use them under their own privacy policies.
  • Webinar hosts and co-hosts receive your registration details, form answers, payment status, attendance and interactivity responses, and can export them.
  • Businesses you talk to through their AI agent receive the conversation and any contact details you give.
  • Referrers learn whether someone registered through their link, not payment details.

With service providers that process data for us under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, AI models), Authorize.net and PayPal (payment processing), Google (business listings, maps and image safety screening), PayPal and banks (payouts), shipping and delivery partners [confirm], and providers of email, SMS, analytics and crash reporting.

For legal and safety reasons, in a business transfer, or with your consent, that is, to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect the rights, safety and property of members, the public or us; as part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy; or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Recordings

Hosts can record meetings and webinars. When a session is being recorded, everyone in it sees a recording indicator. Recordings are stored by us and shared according to the host’s settings. If you do not want to be recorded, turn off your camera and microphone or leave. Hosts are responsible for getting any consent the law requires.

7. How long we keep information

Information How long
Account, profile and business information While your account is active
Posts, comments, videos and messages Until you delete them or your account (copies others have shared or saved may remain)
Recordings Until the host deletes them or deletes their account
Orders, payments, payouts and tax records 7 years, as required for tax and accounting
